    Smooth, flexible, and quiet. Great tuning stability. Seem to maintain tone longer than other string- brands. I'm primarily a finger-picker and this style seems to shred the wound string coating on some brands, but not the D'Addario XS.

    After an accident, I went back to guitar playing and wow - retired, AND gigging. I loved the NYXL strings for their piano-like tone but they crud up fast; Elixirs are overrated and overpriced, and I've tried Cleartones etc. so I tried the XSs. My electric guitar woke up in warmth!
