    This bass string set is my go-to set whenever I re-string my basses and whenever I need for the quality a custom set of octave strings for my modification projects such as converting a 5-string bass into a 10-string or a 6-string into a 12-string. I usually have to add single strings to complete the re-stringing. The point is, the EXL180-8 always work best. I like the bright tones I get from them, and they last a long time, at least for me. I highly recommend them. Also, I consider the price reasonable, especially for the quality.

    I started using these strings when I got into using an 8 string with my metal band.They have a very good tone and surprisingly have kept it longer than a lot of strings I have used over the years.It's nice to be able to get a matched set of strings,used to have to go out and buy a 4 string set and then buy single guitar strings to finish the set.
