    The Planet Waves DuraGrip is the cheapest longest-lasting bass/lead guitar pick I have ever encountered that will not destroy your strings. I use the Extra Heavy size specifically, because thicker picks last longer, and it is still thin enough yet stiff enough to pick articulately. I get a fuller sound too, even through my Fender EVH 50 with all controls maxed out. If my band Insanity Plague goes pro, I will surely endorse the DuraGrip Extra Heavy pick.
