Cort

Description

The KX Series 6 String Electric Guitar from Cort Guitars brings boutique style and sound within reach. This innovative double-cutaway electric is crafted with premium components and materials for versatile tone and playability. The KX Series 6 String is a guitar that defies convention and redefines what an affordable pro-level instrument can be.

Fishman Fluence Pickups Provide a Spectrum of World-Class Tones

At the heart of the KX Series 6 String are custom Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, engineered to produce tones from vintage warmth to modern crunch. The Fluence Modern humbuckers are voiced for articulate, balanced output across the frequency range. Roll back the volume or tone for a classic rock rhythm sound or open them up for searing lead tones. The KX Series 6 String comes alive with harmonically rich, dynamic sound.

Sleek Body Contours and Fast Maple Neck

The KX Series 6 String features an ergonomic double-cutaway body for comfort and upper-fret access. Crafted from mahogany with a flamed maple top, the body shape contours naturally to the player's shape. A fast-playing maple neck with rosewood fingerboard provides a familiar feel for guitarists accustomed to more traditional spec. 24 jumbo frets and a 15.75" radius offer precision and speed.

High-End Appointments at an Affordable Price

From its custom pickups to its figured maple top, the KX Series 6 String exudes boutique quality at a price point far below comparable models. Black chrome hardware, including tuners and a Tune-O-Matic bridge, provide rock-solid tuning stability and sustain. Dot inlays, binding and a tasteful etched design around the edges complete the upscale look. For guitarists seeking maximum value in a pro-level electric, the KX Series 6 String is in a class by itself.

I mostly play guitars with passive pick ups but when I picked one of these up and played it at my local GC I decided to pull the trigger. Feels a lot like a modern Ibanez but with a slightly thicker knock which felt better to me. Fishmans and quality is decent for a under $1k.
