Coffin Case

collapse expand iconDescription

Your guitar or bass deserves a Coffin Case, and here it is, the Coffin B-195 universal bass case which fits all standard-shaped electric bass guitars and some "hard to fit" electric guitars like B.C. Rich Warlock. Constructed of solidified, multi-ply laminated wood and featuring Coffin's trademark black velvet diamond-tuck quilted interior and "shock-resistant" velvet pillow to keep your axe cushioned and resting in peace. A large neck compartment with reinforced wood cross bracing holds your valuable accessories, five black secure steel latches with lock and key and a durable black PVC exterior make this case road ready.

It's a case shaped like a coffin. What more could you want?

This is definitely a form over function case. There is a removable pillow that you can use to help give your instrument a more snug, padded fit which is nice and there is a nice little storage space for small things like a strap, tuner and more. The velvet is really soft and plush and looks absolutely gorgeous in person. While there are certainly better, softer cases for your instruments out there, you're really paying for the novelty of saying you have a coffin shaped case for your instrument and it is truly an eye catching piece of gear. I will say that the handle is rather uncomfortable for long term carrying but that's easily fixable with a piece of foam or leather. If you want to put the Schecter Sean Yseult Casket bass in the coffin case like I do, you may want to diy some extra cushioning to prevent the bass from sliding around the case. Other than that, it's absolutely gorgeous and I love it so much.

Blah!

Too narrow. It has the same width as my guitar coffin case. Fits a guitar not a bass. LoL The lid does NOT close on its own without pressure. My Jackson bass's headstock rises well above the opened bottom section of the case, making the lid push down rather hard on the headstock while closed. I'm sure this will ruin my new bass. This trash will be returned. Also seems very flimsy.

Will the BC Rich Zombie bass fit in it

The BC Rich Zombie bass, known for its distinctive and aggressive body shape, presents unique challenges when it comes to finding a suitable case. While the Coffin Case B-195 is designed to accommodate most standard bass guitars and some unconventional shapes like the BC Rich Warlock, it may not be an ideal fit for the Zombie bass.
