It's a strap. It works. A 3 inch strap is easier on your shoulder and back with regards to the weight distribution, so playing a heavy guitar, like a Les Paul, is made easier with this kind of strap.

This is a comfortable leather guitar strap that will leave dye on your shirts. You will need to add strap locks of some kind because leather stretches over time. It also is very easy to put on. Which means it is easy to remove. Thus, use strap locks if you plan to run around while playing. It was bought at the same time I ordered a guitar. I wanted to return it but the person on the line said that it was too small to spend the money for return shipping. So it was kept and used to support a short leg on a camping cot for several months. Guitar Center refunded the money. Clayton USA didn't return any of my messages asking for them to buy me a new shirt or make amends by offering something else from their catalog. This was purchased in 2019. If you get one test it on paper towels or something to see if dye comes off of it.

I was very surprised by the quality for the price. My 6 string bass is pretty dang heavy and this supports it just fine. I actually had a slightly skinnier leather strap on it before I bought this one and this strap really improved the comfort level.I just need to break it in and we're all good.

Nice width

Black leather strap works good for my Fender P-bass. It is wide to absorb the weight and I like the style of non-slip adjustment. The suede inner portion clings nicely to my shirt. I thought the openings for the strap buttons were a bit large, but they are fine with strap locks.
