Celestion Heritage G12-65 65W, 12" Vintage Guitar Speaker 8 Ohm

I have two 2x12 Cabinets with the Heritage 65 paired with the Creamback 75. It sounds so amazing, killer tones for days.

Definitely sounds better than the Celestion Seventy-80 speaker that is installed in the Marshall DSL40C. Sounds beautiful and gives the amp a vintage tone.

well like all Celestions, they have little different "Tones" now it will VARY GREATLY depending on AMP, Playing style? how you play? "What You Play"? and Amp Settings....now for me...I play Hard Rock, Metal ...now I do not play the 7 string "FART TONE" "ANY SPEAKER" can use for that...but G70T will probably like better...those have better "Fart Tone" low end...the G12-65 better for my playing Style and how I set up my Amps.....and "Play" if you like "Megadeth" sound and Metal from the 80's your going to like this type of speaker. it may or may not be for everyone??? will it make your Amp sound Dramatically Different?? if playing anything like Rocket 50 Celestions? or JBL or EV or Jensen Speakers..."Yes" have a different Mid-Rangey "Tone"not harsh but Cuts through well...not FIZZY but good Distortion with the "AMP Your Using" if Using Marshall JVM and ENGL heads Yes, Big Difference... same for Mesa Dual Rectifier heads.."Modeling Amps" not much since its how you "Push the Amp and Speakers" Modeling Amps" can change by just pushing a Button? since there is no "Choke" or Tubes or "Attack Feel" when playing on some?? if your more into Line 6 with 7 String "Fart Tone" type sounds, you may not like this speaker???..has a more Defined "Sound" Al-La Eddie Van Halen Sharp and kind of Midrange...well?? like 80's Metal? Ratt-Dokken-Anthrax-Van Halen- Megadeth-OLD Metallica etc. easy to get "Brown Sound" with these....very easy with a Marshall JVM amp....on Orange OD1 setting..almost "Scary" with Distortion bout 10 or 11 O'clock with a Mesa its Very Thick, nice sounding if into Heavier Tones...with little bit of Midrange "Scoop" and still has Definition. can it do AC/DC to Iron Maiden, of course little EQ tweeking and Overdrive Settings pretty easy...if you like it Super "Clean" no will not like this Speaker...tends to Break up easy on how your Amp is set and how you Attack strings...its a More ROCK sound..... its a "Celestion"? its more like a Green Back but little Tighter..

Great speaker. Definitely captures the warmth and tone of the original. Still bites when you want it to. Had to replace the Classic lead 70 in my '83 Fender concert series (Rivera). The G12-65 does have a lower output approx. 10db less. But it allows me to turn the amp up even on stage. I highly recommend it!
