Carl Fischer Snare Drum Method Book

The Snare Drum Method Book has been conceived and written with the following goal in mind: to develop a musical snare drummer in the classical and traditional sense of the word. Included in this book is an explanation of the basic stroke and playing position. Examples of simple reading begin in 4/4 time and progress through 2/4, 6/8 and 3/4. Also discussed are flams, syncopation, the 5,9,13 and 17 stroke rolls as well as the long roll.
