BREEDLOVE ECO COLLECTION: Where the guitar meets the forest

BREEDLOVE ECO COLLECTION: PURSUIT EXOTIC S SERIES

Lance Lopez plays the blues and demos the Eco Collection Pursuit S Series

Description
The Breedlove Pursuit Exotic S CE Myrtlewood Concert acoustic-electric guitar features a solid myrtlewood top and myrtlewood back and sides, providing a balanced tone with outstanding projection and sustain. The myrtlewood, while native to Oregon's Pacific coast, captures the deep bass of rosewood, the pure warmth of mahogany and the sweet, glassy treble of maple in one exquisite, visually enchanting package. Breedlove's EcoTonewood technology introduces a resonant core tonewood layer of clear-cut free, individually harvested African mahogany in place of the typical tone-robbing softwoods used in standard acoustic guitar manufacturing, allowing for an optimized, natural sound.
Sustainable Exotic Wood Construction
The Pursuit Exotic S CE is part of Breedlove's ECO Collection, designed to both protect the world's forests and maximize acoustic guitar sound. The myrtlewood top and back and sides are sustainably sourced from salvaged and individually harvested timber. Breedlove's deep research into revolutionary body shapes; building to target tonewood weight adds to the optimized, natural sound of each guitar in the ECO Collection. Breedlove creates these better-sounding laminate guitars while being kind to the earth while maintaining an accessible, entry-level price.
Onboard Fishman Presys I Electronics
Side-mounted Fishman Presys I electronics with built-in tuner, volume, contour and phase controls make amplification of this Pursuit Exotic S CE a breeze. The electronics provide a natural amplified tone for performance on stage. The built-in tuner allows for quick tuning between songs.
Fast, Slim Neck and Soft Cutaway
The Pursuit Exotic S CE features a fast, slim African mahogany neck that is well suited for all playing styles. The soft cutaway gives comfortable access to higher frets for soloing. The neck and cutaway, combined with the compact Concert body, make this an easy guitar to play whether strumming, fingerpicking or soloing.
Well-Balanced Concert Body Shape
The popular Concert design, favored by players because for being well balanced, compact and comfortable to play while offering all the qualities of a great-sounding guitar, generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always present. The Concert works well for strumming and fingerstyle, as well as with vocal accompaniment.

I really really really like this guitar
I was looking for a new guitar and wanted something different from my current acoustic (Martin DCX1E). I really like the look and options for finishes on Breedlove guitars in general. The crisp highs and mids make for a much brighter sound than my Martin and really fit the bill for what I was looking for in a new guitar. I played a bunch of different guitars from different manufacturers and different Breedlove models as well. I kept coming back to this one though. Is is a bit heavy but I really like the solid feel. I played one of Breedlove's signature Organic collection guitars as well. It was really nice too, but I like the sound of the Myrtlewood top a little better than the Torified European Spruce top on the Organic signature. Everyone has their tastes in looks, tonewood, and feel, but for me this is an amazing guitar I am super happy to have purchased.

I did not like this guitar
It did not meet my expectations. The finish was very simple looking compared to what they advertise. Yes I'm aware that every one is different. Well they sent me a plain one. The Turners felt very cheap in construction. Straight out of the Box the sound Was not desirable. This is not the size for me as it felt like a toy compared To a full size dread knot. 5 minutes with this guitar was all I needed to wrap it up and put it back in the Box. Sorry Breedlove.

Beautiful Guitar, Wish it Has Slimmer Neck

Bought this guitar back in late March. Been using it as my main acoustic for writing and practice. Fit and finish is spot on. Wish the neck was a tad narrow and slim tapered. I have small hands and can't execute some passes I do on Taylor and Ibanez acoustics.
Excellent for the price!

For less than a grand this guitar is outstanding for the investment. I love the sound of Myrtlewood as it is even warmer than mahogany. The hardware is top notch and mine didn't really require a set up. Just tune it up and go. Of course it is beautiful but also very high quality for a guitar made in China. They must have excellent quality control. Frankly if you told me this guitar was 1500 bucks I would believe it.

I find myself extraordinarily attracted to the myrtlewood in this guitar. It lends a delicate warm vehicle for many of the pieces that I play. NO disappointment here. Thank you so much.

Hello. I have a small Breedlove but I'd like to get a full size one. Does this one sound high or is it a good mix of lows & highs. Some guitars sound too tinny. How is the action? I am older & don't have the strength like I used to with bar chords. Is the neck wide or thinner for easier chord changes? Thank you for your help. Our church, Dayspring Community Church in DeLand, have bought a lot of equipment from you & we are very satisfied.
