Open Box Yamaha PSR-EW400 76-Key High-Level Portable Keyboard Level 2 190839058300

12W + 12W amplifiers power the high-definition 12 cm Bass Reflexed speakers, delivering powerful, crystal clear sound, and offering solid support in standalone performance situations. If that’s not quite enough volume, the PSR-EW400 features professional audio outputs for connecting to a PA system or studio hardware.
Two assignable, real-time control knobs let you filter and adjust your sound just like an analog synthesizer. 10 brand new DSP effects can be assigned and controlled by the knobs for dynamic and expressive live performance. The Pitch Bend wheel adjusts the pitch of the sound bringing voices like the Guitar, Sax and Trumpet to life.
The PSR-EW400 features audio transfer through the USB TO HOST terminal. You can record your performance to your computer or smart device. Connecting to your iOS device adds a new dimension of MIDI control with apps. Connect an external audio player to the AUX IN jack and you can play along with your favorite tunes. The built-in, advanced Melody Suppressor lowers the volume of vocals and melody lines of the original recordings, leaving that part open for you to play.

I brought this to replace my Casio WK-7500 and have only had it for a week. First thing I noticed was the feel or the keys...Nice and solid feel, unlike the loose, clacking keys on the WK-7500. Although less in total number than the WK, the on board sounds are way better sounding. Having said that, On the other hand, I DO miss the sliders on the WK which allowed for Hammond-like drawbar adjustments to the tone-wheel organ sounds and the internal mixer -- Maybe Yamaha will add this feature to future models. The size and weight of the keyboard are really appreciated as are the built in speakers making this a true stand-alone keyboard. I also like the battery power option (the WK also had this feature) as this allows me to take it to places that power isn't available (i.e. picnics, campfires, outdoor BBQ's, etc) AND this thing is WAY BETTER than the all-to-often used acoustic guitar and can blow away any acoustic guitar to boot! < grin>. I use mainly for piano, piano pads and other instrument sounds so I haven't explored the auto accompaniment or recording features yet however plan on learning how to use those features in the future. Guitar Center had the lowest price plus free shipping and the keyboard arrived faster than they predicted, even with snow delays!! In closing, If you're in the market for this type of instrument, I would definitely recommend both this keyboard and Guitar Center. Greg K. Lake George, NY
