Description

The Yamaha PSR-E383 portable keyboard delivers an inspiring playing experience for beginners and hobbyists. With 61 touch-sensitive keys, you'll develop dynamic technique and expressiveness. Hundreds of realistic instrument sounds let you explore a range of musical genres. Learning tools provide interactive guidance. And accompaniment styles allow you to sound like you're playing with a full band. Take your creativity wherever inspiration strikes—the PSR-E383 runs on batteries or AC power.

Touch-Sensitive Keys Enable Expressive Playing

The PSR-E383's 61 touch-sensitive keys detect how firmly you press them, allowing volume changes based on your touch. Play softly for quiet passages or strike the keys boldly during climactic moments. As you gain experience, touch sensitivity helps you shape phrasing and articulate melodic lines. The lightweight, portable design means you can improve your playing skills anytime, anywhere.

Authentic Instrument Sounds Inspire Your Creativity

With hundreds of lifelike instrument sounds, the PSR-E383 lets you explore music in many styles. Emulate a grand piano, electric piano, harpsichord or pipe organ. Add strings, brass, woodwinds or percussion. There are even guitar, bass and synth sounds for contemporary styles. The Super Articulation Lite voices reproduce details like the squeak of guitar strings or the bend in a saxophone note, making every sound expressive and authentic.

Interactive Learning Tools Provide Guidance

The PSR-E383 includes features tailored for developing musicians. Follow the Keys to Success display to learn songs at your own pace, one hand at a time. Touch Tutor provides visual feedback so you can refine your touch sensitivity. Smart Chord lets you play complex chords with a single finger. Duo mode splits the keyboard for practicing with a teacher or partner. With the PSR-E383's interactive tools, you'll build skills and confidence while having fun.

Accompaniment Styles Add Rhythm and Harmony

The PSR-E383 provides a virtual backing band with its auto accompaniment feature. Select from hundreds of music styles like pop, rock, jazz or Latin, and the keyboard plays rhythm and harmony parts to match. You control the tempo, tone and other elements. Play along with the built-in songs or use the styles to compose your own music. With the PSR-E383, you get the experience of performing with a full ensemble whenever you like.

Great Yamaha keyboard

I bought this for my kid and myself. I loved being able to pick up at the store. I don't want a keyboard sitting outside my house after being delivered. This is great sounding and it has a lot of sounds and beats. Even though it has midi I like that I don't need a computer. And I like that it's made by a reputable music company like Yamaha.

A passing fancy!

Having had previous keyboards, including a top line model in the 1990's, and a small one for use when traveling, I am disappointed with this keyboard. I thought after 30 years, there would be more flexibility in setup. I use split keyboard, and have always had two instruments on right, and something different on left. Yamaha has no individual volume adjustment, so the secondary right "sound" is not loud enough, should be adjustable. Same for the left hand on split keyboard. Also should be adjustable for key, so that left hand could be an octave higher, as my previous 2 keyboards and digital piano were able to do.

This product is better than expected simple to record will work for experience musicians unless looking for studio style recordings… Have only spent a small amount of time on it. Sounds are good. For the money can't go wrong worth more I think… A pitch blend wheel would help with its enhancements. My PSR 2000 sound board and display went out can't find parts, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on another after have not played in about nine years… This will do for now and then maybe the PSR 425 because of microphone set up. I also purchased the p-225 88 key piano…

When I first got the product, I was actually overwhelmed because of all the buttons, but everything was easy once I started playing with it. It also easily plugged in with a midi cord, so it was easy for me to use it with my music software. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this keyboard for learning how to play. Been practicing everyday and it's been perfect for what I need. The volume is very clear, never need to use it at it's loudest. The options are very accessible and easy to understand and configure. I also love that I can connect the keyboard to my computer, phone or tablet via USB. Very happy with my purchase!
