Yamaha PSR-E373/PSR-EW310/YPT-370Overview Video

Description
The Yamaha PSR-E373 portable keyboard offers an accessible way for beginners to start learning and creating music. With over 600 high-quality instrument Voices and a variety of accompaniment Styles, you'll have a world of inspiration at your fingertips. The 61 touch-sensitive keys provide expressive control over dynamics. Play lightly for a soft sound or strike firmly for loud volume, just like an acoustic piano.
Authentic Voices Powered by Advanced Sampling
Yamaha's AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling technology captures the nuances of real instruments to recreate their sound. The PSR-E373 features over 600 Voices ranging from pianos and organs to strings, brass and woodwinds. With the touch of a button, you can add reverb or other effects to further shape your sound.
Play Full Chords Instantly
The Smart Chord function lets you play complex chords with just one or two fingers. Simply press the "Smart Chord" button and strike a key to hear a full, rich chord. This feature makes it easy to accompany yourself as you play and sing.
Practice Duets and Take Lessons
Duo Mode splits the keyboard in half so you can practice duets with a partner. The Yamaha Education Suite provides interactive lessons to help build your skills. Start with basic fingering and hand positioning exercises, then move on to playing simple children's songs. Connect the PSR-E373 to your computer via USB to use the lessons with recording software.
Registration Memories for Instant Recall
Store your favorite Voices, Styles and other settings in the PSR-E373's Registration Memories. With the touch of a button, you can instantly recall custom configurations for different songs and playing situations. Registration Memories make it easy to switch between setups on stage or while practicing and recording at home.

I purchased this as my son's first keyboard, and the reviews are spot on. Great for beginners. The keys aren't the sturdiest, heaviest, "traveliest," but I wouldn't expect them to be at this price point. I find this to be a great product to learn and record from.
I will buy it again

I wanted to teach myself piano and after all the research I decided on this one. The sound is great and plenty loud for home use. It does take some getting use to all the things you can accomplish with this very affordable portable piano.
I love the product

I got this for my 14 year old son for Christmas and he really likes it. He enjoys the hundreds of preset sounds. They are very realistic and professional sounding. The touch sensitive keys are great and perform as expected. It's easy to learn and operate. My son spends hours on it experimenting. If looking for a good beginner/mid-level keyboard, I recommend this one.

Can thus keyboard play as a regular piano?
The Yamaha PSR-E373 is quite similar in purpose to the EW310, but it’s a 61-key keyboard, and that makes a big difference for piano use. Here's a comparison and overview: Yamaha PSR-E373 – as a piano substitute: ✔ Pros: Touch-sensitive keys: Like the EW310, it responds to how hard you play—important for dynamics. Decent piano sound: Uses Yamaha’s "Grand Piano" voice and Super Articulation Lite voices. Portable and beginner-friendly: Lightweight and great for learning. Only 61 keys: That’s two octaves short of a full piano. You’ll run into limitations with classical, jazz, or more advanced pieces. Unweighted keys: No hammer action or key resistance like a real piano—less useful for developing proper finger strength and technique. Compared to the PSR-EW310: Same sound engine and features. EW310 has 76 keys (better for piano-like range). Both are not ideal for serious piano practice due to the lack of weighted keys.submitteda year ago
