Actuator
An actuator installed on the inner surface of the guitar back vibrates in response to the vibrations of the strings. The vibrations of the actuator are then conveyed to the body of the guitar, and to the air in and around the guitar body, generating authentic reverb and chorus sounds from inside the body.

Simple Control
Three simple knobs let you adjust the degree of effect applied and the lineout volume level. Additionally, keeping the controls small minimizes the area of the holes in the body material, reducing acoustic sound loss. (A) Chorus Control (B) Reverb Control (Room/Hall) (C) TA Switch/Line Out Volume Control 
* Pressing the TA Switch for more than 0.3 seconds activates the TA function
* When a cable is connected to the line-out jack, the lineout volume can be adjusted by rotating the (C) knob
* The reverb type switches from Room to Hall around the 12:00 position

New Scalloped Bracing
The body is an all-solid guitar based on the L-Series. A modified non-scalloped bracing design retains the L Series’ characteristic bright tone while enhancing the low end. Treating the tops with Yamaha's exclusive A.R.E. process gives the instrument a rich, vintage quality tone, making it sound as though you'd been playing it for years, from the very first moment you pick it up. The fact that this guitar has been designed with an insistence on sound quality is what allows it to produce effected sounds that feels pure and natural.

High Comfortable Playability
Straighter neck taper and hand-rolled fingerboard edges result in an instrument that can be played for hours without any stress. The 5-ply neck design featured in all TransAcoustic Guitars is constructed of rosewood and mahogany plies with a double-action adjustable rod, creating a strong, stable neck that resists warping.

Newly Designed Battery Box
Battery box integrated into the end-pin jack. This requires fewer holes in the body, thus reducing acoustic sound loss. Connect the cable from the jack to a PA or amp to use as an acoustic electric guitar.

    I went in to my guitar center and traded my Taylor 214 CE plus special edition for this. Price wise I didn't get the best deal but when it comes to the sound this Yamaha blows the Taylor 214 out of the water. It has a full body warm sound probably the best acoustic guitar I've ever played

    Today at GC my intentions is to get this mark bass 210 cabinet for better sounding for my fender 500 rumble but then I came across to this yamaha LL TA trans acoustic all SOLID WOOD!! And it blown me away how the sounds came out ..Omg hands down..this guitar plays better than the Taylor's of 214, FG 3X, Martins $1000 range, guilds…

    Even without the effects, this is a top-quality guitar. The tone is very nicely balanced, it projects exceptionally well, and it's highly playable. Also, it's surprisingly comfortable for a large-body guitar. This guitar is a steal. The chorus and reverb are just a great bonus.

    I have been playing guitar for over 40 years. I played very cheap and the most expensive guitars. In the 1980s, while playing in Scandinavia, I found a Yamaha SG 2000. It was better than the Gibson at that time. Since then my adventure with Yamaha guitars has started. I currently have 20 Yamaha guitars in my collection. Acoustic and electric. The LL-TA is the best sounding guitar. Better than the very expensive Martin and Taylor. It excels in the mix during recording sessions. It sounds bright and full. All strings sound as if you are using a compressor. They are perfectly in proportion to each other. Built-in electronics add flavor to the sound. Reverb and Chorus are perfectly matched to the acoustic guitar. You can forget to use external pedals. If you have 1000 dollars to spend, you will never regret the money invested in this guitar.

    This solid wood resonates beautifully with the Rosewoodsides and back. Finish and frets are outstanding. Perfectly "aged" top. Top notch reverb and chorus built in. Seriously, maybe the best value acoustic guitar value on the market right now.

    Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what the blemish is. However, it would only be a minor cosmetic flaw and would not effect the guitars play ability.

    What is the difference between the LS-TA and the LL-TA? They seem to be listed as the same guitar, I don't get it?
