The Yamaha FG800J is a great guitar for the price! It didn't require any setup other than tuning right out of the box. The tone is great and it's a joy to play. The slightly shorter fretboard scale makes for comfortable playing.

I didn't have an acoustic guitar and went down to GC to see what they had. I played every acoustic they had that was within my budget of under $1000 and the Yamaha FG800J was CLEARLY the best. The playability and tone are so good, you'd think you were playing something much more expensive. Hard to believe that a guitar this cheap could be so good.

  • I would buy this product again.

I tried this out at my local Guitar Center store and I was very surprised. The feel of the neck is great with the matte finish. The sound is balanced and the tone is excellent. I have the sand burst finish which is very nice. I highly recommend this guitar.
