Description

Yamaha's DBR10 powered speaker packs professional-grade sound into a portable package. Featuring a 700W amplifier and custom Yamaha transducers, the DBR10 delivers the power and performance musicians and presenters demand. The 10" woofer provides rich, full bass response while the 1.4" tweeter adds crisp highs for a balanced, articulate sound. With an onboard 2-channel mixer, the DBR10 accepts mic, line and instrument inputs as well as media player connections.

High-Output Amplifier Brings Your Sound to Life

The DBR10's 700W Class-D amplifier gives your sound power and punch. Capable of reaching 129dB, the amp has the muscle to fill venues of nearly any size. Despite its power, the amp is lightweight and energy efficient thanks to Class-D technology. The result is a speaker that's easy to transport but still packs a punch when it's time to perform.

Custom Transducers Deliver Accurate Full-Range Sound

Yamaha designed the DBR10's woofer and tweeter specifically for this speaker. The 10" woofer provides tight, controlled bass while the 1.4" tweeter adds shimmering highs. Together, they deliver a balanced, natural sound across the entire frequency spectrum. The speaker's wide dispersion offers broad, even coverage whether used as a main speaker or monitor.

Flexible Connectivity for Any Application

With its built-in 2-channel mixer, the DBR10 accepts two mic/line inputs as well as stereo RCA inputs. Use the mixer to blend signals from microphones, instruments, media players and more. In addition to the mixer, the DBR10 offers pass-thru connectivity to link multiple speakers. Rigging points and a 50-degree wedge angle provide flexibility for use as a floor monitor or installation speaker.

Road-Ready Design

Despite its power and performance, the DBR10 is highly portable thanks to its molded enclosure and ergonomic handle. The enclosure is durable yet lightweight, making the speaker easy to transport and set up. M10 rigging points allow mounting the speaker using eyebolts or optional Yamaha speaker brackets (sold separately). A steel grille protects the transducers and amp during transit and use.

    I own a lot of speakers, and demo even more than i own. These things are legit if you know what you're getting into to. They get loud and the clarity is acceptable. They are a 10" woofer so the bass response will reflect that. I would buy again. I have 6x of them on order.

    I purchased 3 different 10s at once to compare. I kept the Yamaha DBR10 and returned the Alto TS310 and the JBL EON610. DBR10 sounds better to me (singer/guitar player), and appeared to be better quality. It's been over a year and still loving them.

    I bought the DBR10 to use in place of my SRM450s for solo acoustic performances (one guitar, one vocal). I use the DBR10 with a Boss acoustic singer live (ASL); DBR10 is the main, and the ASL is the 2 channel mixer and powered monitor. The system is very light weight and takes little space to set up. The DBR10 DSP features multi-band compression which I think is the secret to the amazing sound. No need for an external processor (eq/limiting from a Driverack ect), it's pretty much plug and play. There is plenty of power for a bar / dining area, and the venues I play for have commented on how good the system sounds. The DBR10 costs hundreds less than K.10s.

    I do live indoor seminar presentations in spaces of about 2,000 sf with up to 100 people. I'm curious to know whether I should buy 2 DBR10s?

    I play jazz gigs using the Yamaha P515 Do I need two of these or is one sufficient? How does the sound compare to a Roland KC 100?

    I don't think so. If you don't need the spread of two, this is loud. This is better.

    I'm interested in buying a pair of the Yamaha DBR10 powered speakers to do outdoor mobile DJ gigs. My outdoor audience size would be 50 - 100 people. I'm using a Traktor Kontrol S2. Do the Yamaha speakers connect directly to my controller or do I need a mixer? Are those speakers sufficient for my audience size? Eventually, I might buy subwoofers, but are the speakers alone sufficient to start. I'm new to DJing, so please be honest with me on what I need and there is a good chance I will buy more equipment from Guitar Center in the future. Thanks!

    You can connect directly - the Kontrol 2 has RCA outputs. I regards to size, you mention doing DJ work. DJ work, in regard to a live mix is loud thumping bass regardless of what else is going on. That needs to be your priority. If it can't deliver the bass the rest won't matter. The primary question - how loud do you want it to be? It's all about how you want you audience to react. Do you want them to feel the bass in their chest? Outdoors is tough. If you are not looking for big volume, these speakers will "cover" the crowd just fine. For bigger power take a look at Behringer Eurolive B115D 2-Way Active PA Speaker

    Would this speaker work well with a Roland digital piano? I am a pianist who regularly gigs for musical theater and classical performances. Outdoors & indoors.
