Open Box PreSonus AudioBox USB 2x2 Audio Recording Interface Limited Edition Level 2 White 190839061058

Description
The PreSonus AudioBox USB 2x2 USB recording system is an excellent solution for achieving high-quality, professional-sounding recordings no matter where you are. The AudioBox USB is a USB bus-powered audio recording interface loaded with two microphone/instrument inputs with 48V phantom power, two balanced TRS outputs, and MIDI I/O so you can stay portable without sacrificing your sound. The AudioBox USB also comes with Studio One Artist music creation and production software which has the same platform and intuitive interface as Studio One Pro but with an unlimited track count so you can start recording right out of the box.
PreSonus Audio has won numerous awards for designing quality microphone preamplifiers for all price levels. The AudioBox USB is loaded with preamps that deliver high headroom, low noise, and high gain to give you pure, full, and rich sound. Most USB recording devices operate at a 16-bit sample rate and use converters with dynamic ranges of less than 90dB which gives you a pinched and relatively small sound. The AudioBox USB, however, uses professional-grade analog to digital converters with a dynamic range of 102dB and 24-bit sample rate so that the digital conversion is big, quiet, and musical, making it one of the best sounding USB bus-powered interface on the market.
The AudioBox USB is bus-powered giving you the flexibility you need with no wall warts, line lumps, or power cables. Just plug in to a powered USB port and you are ready to record. The AudioBox USB is housed in an all-metal chassis with metal knobs able to withstand the rigors of travel and your touring adventures. Just toss the AudioBox USB in your laptop bag and mobilize your music creation and production. Whether you're recording your shows, creating a mix on the plane, or writing songs in your hotel room, the AudioBox is ready to go.

I'm not a pro, just a novice who loves to play. I bought the interface mainly to try out amps and pedals. I hooked it up to my iMac, added a pair of Fostex monitors, and I love it. I read too many opinionated reviews of what amps, pedals, etc I need to accomplish the sound I'm looking for. Now I have the opportunity to try before I buy. I currently am using Garage Band, which works great, but hope to move on to Studio One which comes with the interface. Look out Guitar Center there'll be orders coming!
Mine did not work as described.

With my MacBook Pro, it was not able to record. When I plugged my headphones in, I heard my guitar and microphone, but my laptop did not show that it was connected. It can't be my laptop, because I bought a cheap $5 audio connector off of eBay and it worked. I just sent this item back for a refund.
Durable box for the money

This is NOT a 22vsl, this is the audiobox, which has usb 1.1 instead of 2.2, and also the cheaper preamps. I only forewarn you because i bought this one on accident. Anyhow, it is a great box with no problems so far at all. It functions flawlessly with the "trimmed" artist version of PreSonus Studio One v2.0. But, it is still a wonderful program with more than enough to produce a song with professional sound. if you can afford the more expensive 22vsl, or 44vsl with 4 inputs/outputs, go with those.
works for me

I'm using this interface with voip applications (googlehangouts skype, ventrilo, mumble and the like) and it works great. Downloaded the drivers from the website so its all up to date. one gripe is the led is always on even when my computer is in sleep mode so you might have to cover it otherwise the led on the front lights up the room

The softwear the comes with it is simple to use (Note: the softwear doesn't come with a manual. You need to get that online). The unit is PreSonus and it delivers the sound quality synomous with it's name. It was very easy to hook up and start recording from the start. I purchased this specifically as an interface to record karaoke performances and convert cassettes and records to cd. It has surpassed my expectations and I may even start recording my own music on it instead of the system I am currently using. If you're just starting out doing your own recording I would strongly recommend this product for both the quality of PreSonus and the ease of use the softwear program offers that comes with it.
