PIONEER PLX1000 TURNTABLE

PIONEER PLX1000 TURNTABLE

Pioneer DJ

Description

Pioneer's PLX-1000 professional turntable blends a retro design with groundbreaking new features, offering an unparalleled experience for DJs and producers alike. Boasting a high-torque direct-drive system, it reaches its fixed rotation speed of 33-1/3 rpm in just .3 seconds and provides stable, precise control for advanced techniques. Its heavy-mass, zinc die-cast chassis prevents resonance while a reinforced base incorporates 9 mm of vibration-damping material, resulting in pristine audio quality with virtually no distortion or feedback.

High-Torque Direct-Drive System Delivers Power and Control

The PLX-1000's direct-drive motor generates 4.5 kg/cm of starting torque, giving DJs the power and responsiveness needed for everything from beat juggling to smooth beatmatching. Its rotation stabilizes nearly instantly, allowing for fast starts, stops and scratches executed with pinpoint accuracy.

Anti-Vibration Design Produces Optimal Sound

To optimize sound quality, Pioneer engineered the PLX-1000 to minimize unwanted vibration and resonance. Its zinc die-cast top section sits on an 8 mm thick resin base reinforced with 9 mm of vibration-damping material. The tone arm also features rubber insulation to reduce howling. Gold-plated RCA outputs ensure a clear signal with minimal interference or signal degradation.

Classic Layout Updated for Modern Use

The PLX-1000 provides a familiar layout for experienced DJs, with quick access to tempo control, start/stop and speed selection. LED indicators and a pop-up target light provide visual guidance in dark environments. Interchangeable power and RCA cables allow for simple setup and breakdown, ideal for performers on the move.

Advanced Pitch Control and Convenient Design

An adjustable pitch fader offers ±8%, ±16% and ±50% ranges, allowing DJs to speed up or slow down tracks with precision. A reset button instantly reverts to the default ±0% pitch. Detachable power and RCA cables provide flexibility and easy replacement if damaged, ensuring seamless performance even in rigorous conditions.

    • Maybe better than the 1200?

I'm a DJ using Technics 1200s for 30+ years- PLX-1000 feels just like the 1200, and might even be better. It seems heavier and more solid. Feel, pitch, torque- it's all perfect. New, a better option for price than an old used 1200 w/ potential issues or new 1200s which are too $$

    • I have wanted a professional turn table now I have it!

This turntable is bad!!! not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good! There is!!! The tempo speed fader control with a range of up to +/- 50 percent is just awesome. The similar look and feel of the Technics 1200 models made me feel right at home.

    • Yes, I would buy this turntable again.

If you are coming from technics 1200s or looking for something similar this guy will do the job. Out of the box all the pieces we real simple to set up and pretty easy to balance the tone arm. It's also cool that it came with an additional counter weight, which helps if you're heavy handed when it comes to scratching.

    • The best turntable on the market!!!

Built like a tank, very familiar feel and layout, and hands down the best unit available right now for turntables...

I was wondering if guitar center would (freely) supply the cartridge necessary to use this turntable, since it oddly doesn't include one in the box...

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The cartridge would need to be purchased separately. Thanks!

Although I agree it would be nice to include a basic cartridge, most users will have their own strong preferences. Some who purchase this turntable will spend significant money on a cartridge, others will go basic. I went fairly basic. At least it has the tone arm included. Sent from my iPad

Unfortunately, the cartridge has to purchased separately. I recommend the Shure M44-7. Best Cartridge on the market and has been working great for me ever since. Hope it all works out for you. Sent from my iPhone
