Open Box PRS SE DGT Birds Electric Guitar Level 2 Mccarty Tobacco Sunburst 197881417574

The PRS SE DGT Birds Electric Guitar, David Grissom's signature model now available as an affordable SE version. Developed over 20 years of collaboration, the DGT is a customized McCarty packed with David's personal touches for versatile rock performance. From vintage-voiced humbuckers to a specialized neck carve and pickup controls, this ax delivers everything you'd want in a PRS at an enticing price.
Custom "S" Humbuckers For Smokey Tones
Inspired by David's Texas stomping grounds, two "S" DGT humbuckers produce vintage-style tones with a touch of twang. David and Paul Reed Smith tested over 40 pickup pairs to find the perfect match for the DGT. These "S" humbuckers capture all that R&D at a budget-friendly cost, letting you achieve rich, warm rock tones with pronounced mids.
DGT Neck Carve For Comfort Across The Fretboard
Whether you're jamming leads or pounding out chords, the DGT neck carve keeps you comfortable. Similar to PRS' Pattern Regular profile but with enhanced shoulders, the DGT carve improves lower fret access. It's an ideal, familiar feel for versatile players and perfect for blues-rock styles demanding playability across all six strings.
Customized Controls For Gig-Ready Tone Shaping
The DGT's controls make tone tweaking a breeze live or in the studio. Individual volume knobs for each pickup simplify switching and blending, while a push-pull master tone knob taps the humbuckers for single-coil tones. The pickup selector sits behind the bridge, so you'll never hit it mid-strum. David crafted an ax for working musicians, and the DGT's controls prove it.
Classic Tonewoods and PRS Craftsmanship
Like all PRS models, the SE DGT exhibits impeccable build quality and components. A mahogany body and neck provide resonance and warmth, balanced by a maple top for articulation. PRS' Patented Tremolo, taller frets, and David's signature bird inlays complete the premium appointments. For the player seeking a gig-ready, signature model at an accessible price, the PRS SE DGT delivers.

Perfect set up right out of the box. Plays well and sounds even better. As good, if not better, than guitars than cost me 3x as much.
Excellent Guitar!!

The first thing I noticed , of course, was the bird inlays on the neck and the great finish on the body. Very pleased with the appearance. This guitar plays easily and feels like it was already set up at the factory. It has a reasonable sustain and sounds great with the mustang LT50 amp. I didn't use any effects pedals testing it out and it was awesome. Playability is first rate. The guitar is fairly light for a solid body. All I had to do was some very minor tuning. I love the color (tobacco sunburst). Very pleased. I'm already getting compliments from friends on it.
This guitar inspires me to play

I haven't played guitar in over 15 years. The PRS SE DGT sounds so good that I can't put it down! Ordered for pick up in store, arrived on time, and was practically flawless. Small truss rod adjustment, and lowered the action. Now it plays just the way I like, and it has become my favorite.

PRS ALWAYS FEEL JUST RIGHT. NICE FEEL WITH A STRAP , THE FRETS WERE NICE SIZE MAKING THE NOTES RING EASIER. I GOT A NICE DIRTY CLASSIC ROCK SOUND AND WAS ABLE TO PERFORM WITHOUT ANY ISSUES.
Awesome Guitar

I've had the SE DGT for about 6 months. I had it PLEK'd and installed locking tuners(only because I prefer those..the stock tuners were fine). Low action, no fret buzz, vibrato works great, stays in tune and has beautiful fat tone w its relatively low output PUPs. Neck profile, as described in many reviews feel like a '59 LP.
The hype is mostly true

Lots to like in a 22 fret solidbody. Very clear and sweet pickups with a lot of dynamic range, so Im guessing they are not high output; to me they are the best humbuckers in any SE. Combined with well designed pots and coil split, I spent a lot of time in coil split or blending both pickups; a lot of tones on tap. I was able to get volume swells with neck+bridge by using the tone control for example. Downsides: the backward volume layout (which is easy to rewire) and wait list to get one.
