Well balanced, quality instrument

I was upset that this instrument never had a review, so I wanted to make sure I took the time to write one. About me. I am a strings educator and orchestra conductor, my main instrument being double bass. I wanted to finally get a violin that was reasonably priced and easy to play. I often have to demonstrate parts and needed an instrument I could keep in the classroom to pick up and execute passages easily. I could not be happier. Though it is made overseas (Romania, says the tag) it is set up in the USA. The action when I received it was about average, I would have liked it a bit lower, but it is still very playable. The hardware (pegs/tailpiece, chin rest) are all professional in look and functionality. The sound is very well balanced, and the instrument does not feel choked (like many cheaper instruments do), most likely due to its professional set up. The build quality is great, though the picture looks like it may have some "aging", this model looks brand new. Keep in mind, this is just the violin. I bought a Revelle phoenix violin bow, which has been a great companion to this instrument. I would definitely recommend this instrument to the intermediate/advanced player
