Description

The Harbinger VARI V4112 12″ powered speaker combines 2,500 watts of Class-D amplification with unique XR speaker technology for impressive volume, headroom and audio clarity. Powerful onboard DSP is easily controlled by a visual frequency response display that shows the sonic impact of all current settings at a glance. Or use the iOS app to easily tune and customize your system wirelessly from anywhere in the venue. Connect up to five inputs at once without a mixer, including stereo line in, two mic/guitar/line inputs, AUX and Bluetooth. Use one or more pairs of V4112s as your main stereo sound system, or a wide stereo amp for keyboards and guitar multi-effects with Smart Stereo routing that allows easy volume and tone control for both speakers from the master unit. The VARI V4112 includes standard pole mount, can be used as a floor monitor wedge, and includes threaded fly points for suspended positioning.

The transducers of the VARI V4112 speaker use unique proprietary XR technology, employing innovative construction, proprietary adhesives and premium-spec materials to dramatically reduce the unintended vibrations and material deformations that cause distortion and lack of clarity in lesser speakers. These drivers are teamed with 2,500 watts of peak power to deliver remarkable volume levels while maintaining detailed sound.

The color LCD screen shows the frequency response impact of all current settings at a glance for incredibly intuitive adjustments. A free app for iPhone and iPad gives you wireless control to tune and configure the speakers from the audience position, with seven bands of parametric EQ. Ten customizable voicings handle common applications, and six preset memories let you easily recall your preferred settings.

Innovative Smart Stereo easily links a pair of VARI V4112 speakers for optimal audio routing and unified control. You’ll connect all inputs to the first speaker, and then connect a single XLR cable between the speakers to link them. The first speaker will then set all volume and tuning for the pair, making true stereo setups a breeze.

Absolutely impressed for my use!

Slight background. Audio is an extreme hobby. I have several listening rooms at home for different situations. Some rooms excess of 200k, as well as self built many components. 35 years of serious hobby. No I do not work in the field. I'm in IT. Anyhow, for my application this is for music / party at my boat dock. My boat dock is wide open with only a covered top as we host parties down there. I needed more of a horn driven speaker due to our fans and swamp coolers to cut thru the noise. I have ordered 2 of the VS18 subwoofers as I thought for sure I would need them. While I am going to use the 18 subs, I am very impressed with the low end out of this 12" PA system. For my application the V4112 sound so good outside, get everyone going and a great option we can add Karaoke. Dollar for Dollar, this is one of the best audio deals I have found in a very long time. At a certain point the returns diminish. They sound really good! Thank you.

Yes

The noise floor on these speakers is very high (aproximately -50dba @ 1 meter). Once the audio hits a level that overcomes the noise the speakers sound very good. Harbinger has a wonderful opportunity to make a great speaker with the features they've included. The iOS application could use some polish, but it works and is a very welcome and useful feature. They offer numerous flexible input options and it's very intuitive to operate. All of this adds up to a good speaker that would be great for louder venues where the background noise overcomes the white noise coming from the speaker. These speakers can get loud! I really wanted to like these speakers, but I'm disappointed with the noise levels. I wish Harbinger would have included a better amplifier that produced less noise. I linked a video demostrating the noise coming from the speakers.

    This speaker was the perfect addition to my VARI 18" subs. I have 2 subs and 2 4112's now they sound great. Using for small venues for the band. More than needed. For the price it is a great PA.

    The M10 Threaded inserts on top and back made it easy to use forged M10 eyebolts and 1/8 inch wire rope to hang them in a large dance hall. They totally rock the place.

    This speaker is awesome. Couldnt afford 2 but for my small jazz combo club it was perfect for my sax and vocal mikes. The mixer included is the bomb and the graphic EQ screen an unexpected plus. Hard to describe in words how a 35lb powered speaker can deliver the goods like this does. Cost didnt break the bank and the support i got for info to ensure i t was right for me was on time as well. And its easily expandable to 2 down the line for me.

    Can these be installed as line array? Is there any recommended brackets/mounting systems to help facilitate. I'd like to horizontal stack 3 of these sitting atop the 18" sub creating a "tower".

    Does the Vari V4112 powered speaker come in different wattage sizes? I have a V4112 and by the power plug it says 110-120 V 480 watts, Does that mean mine would be a 500 watt version?
