Description

The Epiphone USA Casino hollowbody electric guitar is now made in the USA for the first time in over 50 years. Since its introduction in 1961, the Epiphone Casino has been the choice of legendary musicians like Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Keith Richards, Ray Davies and Dave Davies. This reissue of a rock icon features a classic maple and poplar body with a nitrocellulose lacquer finish available in Royal Tan or Vintage Burst. The Epiphone USA Casino with handwired electronics, Orange Drop capacitors and Gibson USA P-90 Dogear single-coil pickups for a truly American tone with vintage-inspired style.

Handwired Electronics Provide Legendary Tone

The Epiphone USA Casino delivers iconic tone through handwired electronics with Orange Drop capacitors. The handwired design and high-quality components provide enhanced resonance, clarity and responsiveness. The Orange Drop capacitors are coveted for their smooth, musical tone and were originally used in Gibsons from the 1950s and 1960s. Combined with the P-90 pickups, the handwired electronics produce a dynamic range of vintage-inspired sounds from crisp and articulate to warm and throaty.

Gibson USA P-90 Dogear Pickups

The Epiphone USA Casino features Gibson USA P-90 Dogear single-coil pickups for authentic P-90 tone. The P-90 pickups produce a balanced tone with tight lows, crisp highs and a distinctive midrange growl. The bridge pickup provides a brighter, more cutting sound while the neck pickup delivers a warmer, rounder tone. Together, they cover a wide range of tones from overdriven rock leads to jazz and blues.

Premium Materials and Construction

As part of the Epiphone USA Collection, the Casino is handcrafted in America using premium materials and traditional construction methods. The maple top, back and sides provide a rigid base for the pickups and electronics as well as resonance. The mahogany neck has a comfortable medium C-profile and 12" radius for fast, low-action playing. The rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium-jumbo frets and pearl dot inlays. The Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece enable precise intonation and sustain.

Vintage-Inspired Style

The Epiphone USA Casino has a stylish double-cutaway hollowbody design inspired by Epiphone's iconic archtops of the 1950s and '60s. The Royal Tan nitrocellulose lacquer finish gives it a vintage patina and feel. The f-holes, trapeze tailpiece and block fretboard inlays provide visual flair. A cream binding accents the body, neck and headstock. With its blend of premium components, handcrafted construction and mid-century design, the Epiphone USA Casino delivers vintage-inspired tone and style for today's guitarist.

    Bought 3 yrs ago,it was a return so I too returned it. So I ordered again 3 months ago and it is perfect, then in December the new es330 gibson was released. This is what I originally wanted so I⁹ ordered it also. It is a great guitar, same body, same pickups but the nut is thinner on the casino ( I like better) so the gibson went back.

    Bought a usa casino in August and was really satisfied until gibson brought the new es330 so I bit the bullet and ordered it.Now I have both side by side and I thought they would be the same but they are not ! Same body, same pickups but the casino has a thinner neck (nut width)so the gibson goes back , the epiphone is more comfortable.

    Sent me, after 5 months on order, somebody's return!!!The guitar is in good shape but not pristine. The case had a small dent in it.This was a disappointment .

    This is my second Gibson factory guitar and I love them both. This guitar looks incredible and plays easily. The neck is not too thick and comfortable for my hands which are fairly small. The pickups are articulate and not too bassy or tinny as P90's. Just an all-around well-crafted, beautiful instrument.

    As a senior and retired musician, I really appreciate this guitar for a number of reasons. My use of the guitar is mostly at home (entertainment and some recording )and with friends for informal get togethers and jam parties. This guitar sounds great, has a variety of tone settings which are all terrific, is a dream to play, record with, entertain with, and all-around very satisfying. I have owned a lot of top quality guitars over more than 40 years; this is one of the best choices I have made. In fact, I own a vintage Japanese version which I also adore and compares almost identically with this USA new version described here. It's no mystery that this guitar has been chosen down through the rock 'n' roll ages by everyone from the Beatles to modern day musicians.
