Born out of a collaboration between trombonist Elliot Mason (of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra) and master craftsman Michael Corrigan, this instrument has been carefully designed with the most demanding musicians in mind. BAC's primary goal with Elliot was to create a trombone that produced a dark, rich sound, and yet still preserved an ease of playing and unmatched responsiveness. This instrument provides the player with effortless articulations, immediate response, consistency across all registers, and incredible focus. At the same time, the sound is broad, dark, and rich. Most people are shocked to discover that the bore size is just .508" after hearing the enormous sound this trombone produces.
