    The picture doesn't match what I actually received. The shoulder pad I received was very thin with different straps to attach the padding to the tuba. I'm pretty disappointed.

    I have seen this around the waist to hold the Tuba / Sousaphone in place and from falling forward. Other have go around an arm. You should have hooks on your instrument to attach these too.
