Can't beat it for the price!

I purchased this primarily for recording guitar/vocals on my laptop in my home studio. I was using Line 6's UX2, but was having issues with the unit shorting out intermittently, and mediocre recording quality. I can't stress enough how satisfied I am with Behringer. This device blows any competitor out of the water when you factor quality and price. Crystal clear sound, low-latency and sturdy hardware make this a great buy for amateurs and professionals alike. I was leary at first, because the pricetag was considerably lower than the competitors, however don't let that fool you. It's worth every penny, and I would recommend this to anyone looking to record at high quality at an affordable price!

Good product; less than stellar Customer Service

I have a small, by most standards, recording setup, but wanted something that would be a bit more portable and interface to my laptop. I finally settled on the Behringer UMC204HD. The unit seems well made, and though I have not had the time to put it completely through its paces, it seems straight forward enough, and functions as promised/needed. The problem comes with Behringer customer service.

Great audio interface to record home projects. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use. The sound recorded through a mic is very clear (when done with a decent mic and a decent cable), the sound recorded from other sources is also truthful without gaps or any other recording issues at least with a Mac based computer (don't know in Windows). The price is affordable in comparison to other units of same value or characteristics. The free recording software is kind of ok but you would rather to use better ones like Protools or similar others, and this software it's a little bit difficult to download or the download gets really slow if you are connecting to Behringer's server during working hours.

Works just as you'd expect. Easy to install. I downloaded the drivers from the Behringer site. I'm using it with Mixcraft 8 and couldn't be happier.

  • Simple and clean. It makes recording fun again.

I like this very much. It gives me clean sound and clean recordings with plenty of headroom. I was getting tired of running through a mixer and all the cables and adapters,.. recording had become a chore. Now, I just plug in and record. No weak links in this chain. I'm satisfied.

Can you record an audio track and the corresponding MIDI data at the same time with this UMC204HD interface? Basically I want to be able to record my keyboard audio and its midi data at the same time.

    Hello,
I bought Presonus Eris E3.5 Studio Monitors and Behringer U-PHORIA UMC204HD(audio interface). I'm having a hard to connect with each other. I think something is missing. Do I need to purchase another cable to connect with each other? I bought them to make music by using Logic X and Keyboard.
