Great little preamp!
I currently own a TT USB turntable, but the thing sounded horrible when transferring records to my computer. You could hear the motor during the quiet parts of the song. I currently own a Rega P3 turntable, which is a far superior table than my former TT USB. I did some research, and for the money, this is the best preamp I could find. I hooked it up to my Rega, and stopped at Radio Shack to purchase an audio cord to connect the two. It works just as its described, and it sounds better than any USB turntable out there. I recommend this to anyone with a turntable who wants to convert vinyl to MP3's. My friend has had one of these for YEARS, and it still works great.

FIRE HAZZARD
This unit when working sounded horrible. The grounding on it barely worked. About a little less than a year after purchasing it the plug burned and melted. It is always on so be careful. I would recommend anyone currently using it to unplug after each use.

If you are getting into vinyl or are a "veteran" stay AWAY from this one! The internal preamp to my audioTechnica LP120 sounds better then this connected to a technics turntable. I have thousands of albums, and one album I couldn't hear certain details including kick drums. I opened a back up sealed copy to rule out the album being worn, same results. If you're new to vinyl you wont be aware of this! I have albums rereleased on cd... such as beatles records that sound horrible on vinyl with this preamp. The kick drums during the chorus to "Please Please Me" are inaudible.

We're an audio/video company, and we occasionally have a customer who purchased a turntable. Most of today's receivers and preamps come equipped without phono preamps, so we use this one. It actually sounds great for the money!
Recommended to anyone needing a pre-amp for their turntable!
