Pro Tools | Carbon — Built to Capture Brilliance

Getting Started with Pro Tools | Carbon — What is Carbon?

Description
Avid's Pro Tools | Carbon Hybrid Ethernet audio interface is a versatile, high-quality interface idesigned to handle any recording situation with premium preamps, pristine AD/DA conversion and flexible connectivity options for Mac and Windows operating systems. Musicians, producers and engineers will appreciate its flexible, high-quality design and integration with industry-standard Pro Tools software.
Premium Mic Preamps Provide Pristine Recordings
The Carbon interface features four premium microphone preamps to capture high-quality recordings. Each preamp has individually selectable 48V phantom power for use with condenser mics. With up to 65dB of gain and an ultralow noise floor, the Carbon's preamps provide clean, transparent sound for vocal and instrument recordings.
High-Resolution AD/DA Conversion for Accurate Translation
Pristine 24-bit/192kHz analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters ensure that your recordings translate accurately to digital formats and playback. The audiophile-grade converters provide high resolution and a wide dynamic range to capture the nuances of any performance.
Flexible Connectivity for Any Studio Setup
The Carbon interface has various inputs and outputs to connect microphones, instruments, monitors and other gear. It features two mic/line combo inputs, two line inputs, eight line outputs, word clock I/O, MIDI I/O and an instrument input for direct guitar or bass recording. With ADAT optical I/O, the interface can connect to external mic preamps for up to 16 channels of input. Four headphone outputs with independent level control allow multiple musicians to monitor recordings.
Seamless Integration With Pro Tools Software
As an Avid interface, the Carbon works seamlessly with Pro Tools software for music and audio production. It comes with a Pro Tools perpetual license to get you recording, editing and mixing right away. The interface also works with other popular digital audio workstations, including Ableton Live, Cubase and Logic Pro.
