Audix

Description

Use the pre-polarized Audix F90 Condenser Microphone designed with drums, percussion, and instruments in live sound and live broadcast applications.

With a smooth uniform response over a frequency range of 50Hz -18kHz, the F90 is lightweight, compact, and extremely easy to use. The microphone is designed with an integral clamping system making it simple to attach to the rims of drums, percussion instruments, and a variety of other instruments such as sax, trumpet, and trombone. The F90 has a cardioid pick-up pattern and is capable of handling sound pressure levels up to 135 dB. The flexible gooseneck, along with the 90-degree angle of the microphone head, puts the microphone in the proper position for placement directly over the sound source.

Any final adjustments can be made by simply twisting or bending the gooseneck into the desired position. The F90 is highly sensitive and will pick up the warmth and clarity of instruments without boominess. The F90 operates on phantom power of 9-52 volts and is supplied with a phantom power adapter, integral clamp, cable, and windscreen.

This piece of equipment hasn't worked at all. What waste of my money.

I bought these to mainly use when I mic for outdoor shows. These mics don't get in the way like most mics do. They sound awesome and natural. I run my drums through a Lexicon reverb and DBX Compressor so that helps tighten up the sound but it all starts with the mic. I often get compliments on how my drums sound so that's a testament to these little guys.

If your on tight budget but want a good mike for home recording, this is your mike. I use it on my floor tom with no muffling and get a great sound. I've used several different mikes and this one is just as good as the more expensive ones. Don't let the price fool you.
