Normally I use Evan's 3 or 500's or a Remo Hazy Ambassador, for batters a Controlled Sound, Ambassador, Emporer, P77, HD/ST/Dry but I recently got a Gretsch Brooklyn Standard (Mike Johnson Signiture) and I know he uses Aquarian so I figured I'd see how the drum sounds to him. Went with a Texture Coated batter and this one on the bottom… and the snare CRACKS. They're both super durable and the snare bed patches not only add to that durability but also help with EQ and get rid of some of those pesky unwanted overtones! Yeah, I'm super glad I went with these… nice change from my normal Remo and Evan's but it depends on the snare, too… the shell material, the size and the tone your lookin to get. For rock n' roll these great. I might have to go get another Super Kick for old times sake… that bass head made my bass sound monstrous!

I have purchased and used dozens of these heads over the years and never had an issue with any of them. They never tear and resonate just fine.
Works well with my EC2 batter head.

I incorporated this with my EC reverse dot batter head and with a little playing around and fine tuning, I can definitely hear the difference from compared to the old resonant head. Im hoping the resonant head will last for quite a while and knowing this brand, it probably would. Will definitely get another one when the day comes to replace it.
Yes but still would try other types
