Awesome Amp
The SVT-PRO series delivers a lot of power for the price. The 5 position Frequency switch takes a little getting used to but one can get virtually any tone they want with plenty of punch. With this head, mixing the bass through the front end has become effortless. Our sound man loves the way it sounds through the mains!

Constantly stopped working
The sound was good. The power was good. The price was good. The light weight was good. The bad, well, like several other people on various posts in other review sites, mine stopped functioning for 3-4 seconds when the power was up to a higher level (gain at 50% and master at 50%). Ampeg reliability is getting poor. I just returned a heritage SVT classic for crapping out when I first got it too. Old Ampeg is good, new Ampeg is questionable. ThANKing my stars that GC does 30 day returns with no questions asked so I did not have to go to a service center for something I wanted to get rid of.

Sounds great not reliable

I used this product on 2 gigs as I am originally a Lead guitarist. This Bass amp head sounds amazing, but it just didn't last. I only used it to record so I never had to move it (other than the 2 times mentioned) so I was shocked when it made a loud click sound and stopped working. I'm just happy I had insurance on it.
Great equipment. Killer sound!
