Description
The Ampeg SGT-DI delivers an entire bass rig in one innovative stompbox. The SGT-DI combines Ampeg's legendary tube amp tones with a fully featured preamp and D.I. for creating and capturing your ideal sound. The SGT-DI is a revolutionary solution for bassists seeking vintage vibe and modern functionality.
Iconic Ampeg Tone With Enhanced Super Grit Technology
The SGT-DI enhances Ampeg's Super Grit Technology overdrive circuit with SVT and B15 amp simulations for a range of gritty tones from subtle breakup to full-on distortion. Dial in just the right amount of drive to complement your playing style and cut through the mix.
Sweepable 3-Band EQ and Frequency Switches for Total Tonal Control
Shape your core tone with a versatile 3-band EQ featuring sweepable midrange frequencies from 200Hz to 5kHz. Ultra-Hi and 3-way Ultra-Lo switches provide additional tonal sculpting for a balanced low end and articulate highs. With this powerful EQ section, you can craft tones for any genre from classic rock to modern metal.
Variable Compressor Keeps Dynamics in Check
The built-in compressor allows you to tighten up your dynamics with the turn of a single knob. Apply subtle compression for evening out levels or increase for a squashed, pumping effect. The SGT-DI's compressor expands your tonal palette and ensures consistent volume levels for any live or recording situation.
Silent Practice, Recording and Gigging Capabilities
An AUX input allows you to play along with tracks for practice while the headphone output enables silent rehearsal anytime. The D.I. out provides a pristine signal for recording direct or re-amping later.

Sounds great

I've been liking this for quiet practice at the house. First thing I bought was an I-rig that hooks up to my iPhone, plan was to use that and do bassbuzz and yousician lessons etc. I was not happy with the sound at all. Adding the SGT was the missing piece of the puzzle, now I can control the volume of the iPhone lessons and the bass has a good tone and I can control the guitar volume etc. For quiet practice this is the ticket.

I just bought this bass pedal. It is full of options: compressor, overdrive, amp and cab simulator. It certainly boosts the sound and quality of my bass.

Very happy with this product. I travel a lot with my job so this is a great companion to have when setting in a hotel with some good headphones. It's like packing 3 cabs & amps in your suitcase. At home plugging it into my Fender 800 Rumbel & Ampeg BA210, it gives me a whole new sound that you can only get from a vintage Ampeg rig. Highly recommended.
Every bit worth the hype

This pedal lives up to all the hype. So far I've only used it at home with a Phil Jones Bass Micro 7 (7" speaker!) and I swear it sounds like an SVT stack. It's incredibly responsive. You can go all over the map with your sound between the pre-amp, drive channel, and cab sim.

is it possible to use a helix stomp with this. I am assuming that this will run as a bass sim, and wanted to use the stomp for different pedals
You can use any external pedal you like.submitted2 years ago
