Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Large Clamp

Description
1) tremolo unit "on" - in this position your tremolo functions as normal. You can raise or lower the pitch of notes with the tremolo unit.
2) tremolo unit "off" - in this position, you'll enjoy the benefits of a hardtail bridge, where the tremolo unit doesn't move at all; no lowering or raising of a note's pitch via the tremolo system, and the other strings remain in tune should you break one of them.
3) tremolo unit "dive only mode" - in this position, you can only lower the pitch of notes. If you break a string or drop tune the low E to D, the other strings will stay in tune.
The Tremol-No comes in three versions: Pin-type (our sku# H71947), Clamp-type-large, (our sku# H71957), and Clamp-type-small (our sku# H71941). Please see the "Tremol-no works with chart" document attached for details on choosing the right one for your tremolo.
Includes all hardware necessary.

Installation was straightforward after checking a few videos on youtube. The official videos are old and poor quality. But plenty of diy help out there if you need it. The product feels solid. You will essentially replacing the spring claw that's screwed into your guitars body with this thing. Nice hex grounding screw to replace the solder point. Totally locked mod is indeed lock-tight, changing low string drop d or c from d tuning no longer causes tuning fluctuations on other strings. First tune up was a breeze. I have since enabled the dive bomb only, and still have no tuning issues. Great, simple product. Hoping it lasts a long time; if not, it's fairly inexpensive.
Works as it should

Not a direct fit for a Paul Reed Smith Se custom 24, spring claw screw spacings are not the same, had to drill a new hole to get it to work. After the modification it works great. Shipping sucks, took 12 days from Missouri to Iowa,
Good idea, but doesn't really work

Easy to install, but kills all flutter. Most importantly, it constantly rattles, even in hardtail mode. Took it out after a day. Also is no alternative for hardtails - will slide if you down- or uptune it too much.
works perfectly

This lock does just what it claims. It can be used locked, unlocked and in dive mode. I mounted mine to a 7 string Music Man JP and can now raise and drop tune like it was a hard tail. Before adding the Tremol-No it took forever to get the guitar in tune. There was no drilling or other mods to the guitar. Just take out the old spring claw and mount the Tremol-No in it's place I would highly recommend this product!
