Had my first copy back in the late 70's but over time it got lost. If you want a solid understanding of chords and how to use them then this book is a must have addition. Ted Greene was an awsome muscian and his work here is motivational and an inspuration. The value of this book far outwieghs the cost.

I bought this back in the 80s as one the first books to help me learn to play. It was several levels over my head at the time but I eventually grew into it and I believe it helped me to understand music at a deeper level. This was all before YouTube and online forums, but I would still recommend this book to the serious student. Many years later, I am thinking of rebuying this book as I can probably still learn from it. That's how comprehensive and powerful I found it to be.

It is obvious Mr.Greene is a very accomplished musician, and his book is amazing. But what I was looking for was a book that had pic's of the actual chord formation on the actual guitar, and something easier to understand. I went to my local Guitar center, and they allowed me to trade this book for Picture chord encyclopedia, (Proline Pub.)I find this book perfect for my needs.

Chord Chemistry is one of the best books to get you to play better now. It contains advanced theory as well as basic concepts. This book will not only give you hundreds of chords and inversions, but it actually shows you how to use them. It is a great book that feeds you as much info that you can process. I really enjoy this book and would by again if lost, stolen, damaged. Well worth 18 dollars (tax included) and gives knowledge that will take years to get through. I Love this book. Thanks Ted.
