    This book is a little dated, but the material is still relevant. I haven't needed to pop in the CD since I read music proficiently, but it has that as well if you need it, to hear the examples. I've gone through this, as well as Petrucci's Wild Stringdom. Both excellent lesson plans. Anxiously awaiting his 3rd series. He is as good at teaching as he is performing, and I understand that he supports sharing any knowledge he can about theory and application.
