Description

The Alesis DM10 MKII Pro Kit is a premium ten-piece electronic drum set with our exclusive Alesis dual-zone mesh drum heads (U.S. Patent 9,424,827) that deliver an unprecedented degree of realistic drum “feel” and personal expression for modern electronic drummers. These ultra-quiet mesh drum heads come closer to duplicating the feel of an acoustic drum head and their natural rebound better than any previous Alesis electronic drum kit. The Alesis mesh drum heads have a precise adjustment knob so drummers can adjust the heads to provide the exact response that best suits their playing style.

Perfect for Studio and Live Performance
Designed for the studio and live performance, the DM10 MKII Pro Kit is a premium ten-piece electronic drum kit and comes complete with six drum pads (10/10/12/12 in. toms,12 in. snare with stand, and 8 in. Bass drum), four cymbals (12 in. hi-hat, two 14 in. crash, and a 16 in. three-zone ride), and the heavy-duty quick lock chrome Rack. It’s equipped with the exclusive Alesis tightly woven black mesh drum heads that dampen acoustic noise and provide a singularly natural drumming experience. Players will immediately notice the improved feel, response, and reduction in acoustic noise, making the DM10 MKII Pro Kit ideal for quiet late-night practice sessions, as well as live performance and no-compromise studio recording.

Good product, so so support.

Would have saved me about 2 hours setting up the set if it had come with instructions. It also would have helped if they would have had some user manual for operating the dm10 mkii pro. Not everyone has used an electric drum kit before. This was my first and not a great way to start off a new relationship with Alesis.

Sorry I traded in my acoustic set.

After researching the different electronic sets for awhile and played on close to a dozen different sets from Roland, Simmons, Alesis and Kat. I traded in my acoustic set of PDP Concept Maple (BIG MISTAKE) for the DM10 mkll pro in hopes that this might be the answer to being able to control the volume of the kit to a more acceptable level for me during practice and play as well as being able to add in some cool sounds for creativity. The drum modual is pretty good for the price range of this kit and the drum pads are good, there responsive and play very similar to an acoustic kit but that's where the good ends. The metal rack is light, flimsy and all the clamps are made of plastic and constantly moves around. The cymbal boom arms are poor quality and the cymbals have too many hot and cold spots, you never know what sound your going to get much less at what volume. After 2 days of playing this kit I packed it back up in the boxes and it's going back to GC. I can't wait to buy a new acoustic kit.

I've been playing drums for decades. This is my third and best electronic kit. Pros: Pads are great. *Large * Good triggering and response Cymbals are also large * Step up from lower priced Alesis kits Cons: Cymbals are still only OK The module is the weak point of the kit

  • I love this set

This set got me back on track to practice again . I have a smaller home and could only practice while Wifey was away. It has a great feel for the pads . Had to work with the bass pad a little to stop the double hit which is common for electric kits. All in all great set , reasonable price for what you get.

I've been playing over 18 years. I've always played acoustic drums other than sitting down on a electric set at my local music store. I was really worried about making the transfer over to electric and sadly I'm regretting it. I can't compare this to any other electric but compared to a acoustic it's dog dodo. The snare and toms are all pretty good, like advertised the mesh heads are "like" a real drum head, but definitely not a drum head. I still don't mind them and the snare and toms are very responsive picking up nearly every note in every dynamic you play in. The bass drum pad can be a little frustrating. I have a very nice double pedal on this. The right foot usually plays as it should even picking up the fast doubles and triples. I have to really lay into the left foot to get it to register. Although my left and right foot are hitting the same the left beater is slightly off center making it not want to pick it up. I play a lot of fast bass rolls and most of the time is sounds terrible through the module only picking up half the notes. The module itself I like a lot. You'll spend hours making your own sets with more options you could ever want. It's easy to use you won't be disappointed there. Now the cymbals are another story, they are really bad. You have to beat them to death to get them to play. It's very frustrating. The choke kinda works but there's always a 1/2 sec delay making it pretty much useless in any really setting. The bell on the ride never wants to work. Doing complicated sticking on the ride with some bell work is nearly impossible. The cymbals are such a important part of a drum set especially to me, I'm really let down there. I could deal with the bass drum the cymbals are just so bad and with a pretty good price tag I'd say I regret my purchase. If you absolutely have to have a electric set this is probably a good choice but if at all possible get a real set of drums.

  • Looks good but that's about it.

Snare and toms feel and play good. Sound is good as well. 2nd crash worked about 10 percent of the time. Ride worked about 80 percent of the time. Bass drum you really had to kick super hard to get to work properly. Hi hats were ok. All cymbals the choke did not work. I'm guessing I got a defective unit. I returned product and will be going with Roland for the reliability factor.

  • Great electronic drum-kit!!!!

I traded in my 20 year old Yamaha DTExpress for the DM10 and absolutely love it. Set up was relatively simple and the kit has an acoustic drum set feel. Programming sounds and changing the parameters is a piece of cake. Love everything about it🤙😃

Had this drum kit for a year now and it has performed very well both at home and at gigs. Good value for what you get. Lots of options and customization. You will need to spend some time adjusting things, reading the manual and online forum but in the end, you will end up with a great sounding kit. I have had no issues that could not be solved without reading the manual.

Can this unit accept a double bass kick pedal and if so which one is the one to go with???

    Open Reply - Thomas
It will work. However, the ability to use a double pedal on on e-drums has nothing to do with the pedal. If you can fit both pedals so they hit the trigger as close to center as possible it'll work. The issue is how wide is your kick pad.

Is it available for Columbus Ohio store pick up? Is it wireless? I don't like the cymbal position configuration, can it be altered any better than shown? What does open box really mean? It was a demo model with inexperienced people damaging it? $100 off only on open box?

Please contact your local store for specific inquiries regarding their inventory. It is not wireless
