Well worth the price
I have used the 5A sticks for about a month and a half now and these are by far my favorite pair of sticks. I have tried all the brands, (Vic Firth, Pro Mark, Zildjian, Reagal) but these ahead sticks take the top spot. Sure they may be $30 but within a year you really save the money. With the time I have been using these sticks, I would have already went through one pair, and these still look fine. The replacement sleeves are only $3.50 so you save $5 every time. My hands and wrists have also felt better because I have noticed that you get less vibration from these sticks which is a great feature. Also they do not make your cymbals look like they have a layer of dirt on them, they stay clean which is nice because everyone wants their kit to shine. I highly recommend these to anyone who is serious about drumming, consider it a great investment.

drum head shredder
I am a professional drummer and play on my set about 10 hours a week. I decided to give these a try since it seemed they would last a very long time. They feel great in your hand and have just enough weight to give good momentum in rolls and such. The only problem is the tips. They screw on and are continually coming off and shredding my drum heads before I notice. I have tried torquing them down but that doesn't stop it from happening. It has happened 5 times in the last 2 months. Twice at a gig. I have had to replace my snare drum head twice now. You have any idea how frustrating it is to have your drum stick cut a hole in your snare head in the middle of a concert. SERIOUS BUMMER. I have decided to give up on the large investment on 3 pairs and go back to wood.

I held my first Aheads when I was in middle school band.and no stick can compare... It maybe a little heavy but with that the shock absorbance makes up for that add weight.
I love these sticks and have been using for 15 years

5A bit too thin, but 5B too thick, if there is a size 55A would be perfect !
love these sticks!

These sticks, along with the ahead grip tape, are the best sticks I have used. They last much longer than a standard stick and gives a great feel and rebound when playing. Also with the grip tape my hands don't feel tired after a concert.
