The Fender American Ultra Luxe Vintage ’50s Telecaster is built for players who crave the soul of a classic Tele but demand the comfort and versatility of today’s instruments. The guitar’s ash body is finished in an aged Heirloom nitrocellulose lacquer, giving it a worn-in, stage-loved look right out of the box.
At the heart of its sound are Fender Pure Vintage ’51 single-coil pickups, voiced to deliver the twang of an original ’50s model. But this isn’t a museum piece. The Fender S-1 switch lets players access series/parallel output options that unlock high-output tones ideal for everything from gritty blues to overdriven rhythm work.
Also included are a six-saddle string-through-body bridge with chromed brass block saddles for spot-on intonation, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut, locking short-post tuners and Luminlay side dots for improved visibility on dark stages.
Built for Comfort
The Telecaster has long been known for its workhorse reputation, but the American Ultra Luxe Vintage ’50s model improves the guitar’s playability even further. The guitar features a Modern D-shaped quartersawn maple neck, a 10"–14" compound-radius fingerboard with rolled edges and a tapered neck heel. A belly cut and body contours provide comfort over long gigs and recording sessions.
“When I first picked up the Fender American Ultra Luxe Vintage ’50s Telecaster, I said, ‘Oh, it’s really easy to play,’” says Los Angeles guitarist and educator Molly Miller. “Then, I plugged it in and said, ‘Oh, it sounds good, too.’ I want a guitar I can travel with, rely on and not stress out about, and the American Ultra Luxe Vintage ’50s Telecaster would work so well with my gigging life.”
