Zoom

Description

This package, which includes the Zoom F1 Field Recorder and LMF-1 Lavalier mic, completes your video's story by providing outstanding audio no matter where your production takes you. Combined with the F1, you'll be able to record audio up to 24-bit/96 kHz, perfect for interviews, wedding vows and more. With its minimal profile, the F1 attaches neatly on belts, waistbands, or can be slipped into a pocket so the recorder can be easily concealed. The LMF-1 Lavalier mic connects directly to the F1 and records to a micro SD card. By recording directly to the F1, interference noise commonly experienced when using a wireless beltpack system is eliminated.

While recording to your camera, the F1 can also record to a microSD card, providing a stereo audio file which can be edited in post-production. Monitor your levels, battery life, lo-cut settings and more with the F1's newly designed monochromatic display, ensuring visibility even in bright sunlight. One-touch buttons make record levels, limiter settings, low-cut filter and volume output easily accessible.

I'm a huge Zoom fan. I've owned, or own the H1, H4N, H5, H6. I already own the Tascam DR10L and like it overall. So far I like my F1 overall too. PROS - rugged, solid build, easy to read display, good audio, straightforward menus, good battery life, ability to add Zoom mic modules is great. CONS - don't like the protruding belt attachment, heavy, recorder doesn't have enough gain for some other mics like Countryman, doesn't have dual-track record like Tascam (really like that feature). Also you can't currently buy a backup lav mic from Zoom for the unit (C'mon Zoom!). Time will tell, but I'm sure this is solid recorder - seems like good design overall

Can 2 mics be used or is there a stereo mic available?

They may make one, but if they do we don't normally carry it. Give us a call at 866-498-7882 and we can look into special ordering you the mic.

This does record in stereo. However, it does not have an auxiliary input.
