Fun pedal! Have owned prior generations of Zoom pedals and the are pretty well built. I was looking for good sounding drum rhythms and a looper and this item fits the bill. Effects are good enough and seems pretty simple to create patches. The pre-loaded patches are, for the most part eh...., some usable some not so much.

I've tried Boss and Line 6 brands, but prefer the ease of use for Zoom. Programming is easy and changing parameters on the fly is easy and intuitive with the 4 knobs. Doing a quick retune is silent before playing the next song in a set. Also, you can program your set list ahead of time and shift backwards and forwards easily if the band skips a song or changes order. Sounds are ok with the basic categories of distortion, NR, compression, flanger, chorus and octaves. Computer software is basic and doesn't offer any features that you can't already do on the device. Batteries last a long time for multiple performances.

Using at the end of effect chain as an amp sim in studio. Have one setting dialed in. I have a G3n in front of it. Works well.

    • I would buy ZOOM products again.

Would like to choose more than five effects. I'm also used to amp modeling already within and not a stomp box choice. Other than that, love it for the price.

    • Came for the drums stayed for the effect

Got this mainly to have the Drum tracks but really like the quality of effects as well.

I have a Fender GTX 50 Watt Mustang Amp...If I get the Zoom G1 four guitar multi effects processor shown here, what setting would I set the AMP to for it to work, since the AMP has its own presets?
