Wittner 811M Metronome Mahogany Wood Mahogany Wood Case With Bell

It was a gift to replace an antique that was broken. The recipient was delighted and so am I in how beautiful and timely a gift.

I love how it looks and that was the main reason purchasing this item. After further handling, it feels a little cheap.. Is anything made today that doesn't have that cheap feel? The wood is real and I wanted consistent time and I think it does that...not sure if it's accurate but it is consistent. Did I mention, it is a pretty item..? So, if you're looking for accuracy then go somewhere else but if into nostalgic/retro and just want good consistent time then this is the one.

I am an active 16 year old guitar player for two gigging/paying bands, and practicing is (for me and hopefully any musician) very important. I've bought a few metronomes in the past, but, all have either broke or were not very user friendly. So, I decided to invest in a Wittner metronome. At first, the price was a little expensive, but it has DEFINITELY paid off both in improvement of my playing ability and my passion for guitar. The wood is very beautiful and the metronome keeps very good time (duh...). The addition of the bell is very useful and it helps to keep track of what beat you are on (but, most of the time I don't use it). So far, I have not ran into any problems with it, due to it's sturdy design and quality parts. Overall, this is a great metronome and I highly recommend it to any musician!
