I've used this box with my fender stratocaster which has an auto grounding feature which cause my guitar to buzz loudly through the mains. My band tried everything to make the buzz go, even mike-ing my amp. Finally we plugged in this direct box and for the first time my guitar went through clear. I highly recommend this box to any who ask because of its reliability and performance.

I have owned the Whirlwind IMP 2 Standard Direct Box for well over a decade now and it still works.I like that it has a thru put, that little feature has helped me a lot in studio and in live situations.When I record I like to mic and direct inject so as to have to totally different sounding guitar tracks to mess with.All my electric/acoustics go into the IMP 2 before they reach the mixer.Sometimes I mic the acoustic as well as DI it.A good solid product you can depend on!!!

I have 6 of these di's at my church and these little guys are the best. I use one on a bass, one on an acoustic, one on a key board, one on a marshal half stack, and 2 on an electric drumset. These things are the best, we have used the same ones for over 6 years.

I use this to connect my bass amp to the house PA. The bass amp has a 1/4" pre-amp output... I plug a 1/4" jack to the D-box 'IN' and route the signal from the 'Low Z' out using an XLR cable. Its bulletproof. No frills, just gets the job done. A nice extra is the ground lift switch, although I haven't needed to use it yet.

IMP 2 Standard Direct Box works great and no noise. I bought two of these one for my Keyboard player and one for my Bass Player so they can run direct into the P A System. The ones they replaced were quite old and were not working well at all. IMP 2 was recommended to me to buy and I am glad I did. there is no hissing noise or popping going on like my old ones would do. Nice to be able to set these up and not have to mess with the direct box to get the noise out of them. I highly recommend the IMP 2 Standard Direct Box

My church uses these type of direct boxes almost exclusively. They are comparatively inexpensive and reliably functional. We are very satisfied with the results.

I've yet to regret any purchases from Guitar Center...yet again this is a quality product at the lowest price I could find... GC is reputable and extremely helpful when needed. Highly recommend them for any purchase.
