Washburn

collapse expand iconDescription

The WCG25SCE is a Grand Auditorium acoustic/electric guitar with a Venetian cutaway for superior upper fret access. A highlight of the Comfort Series is the beveled top at the lower bout and, in the case of the WCG25SCE, the bevel becomes part of the beautiful mahogany binding. The guitar features a book-matched solid Sitka spruce top, rosewood back and sides, as well as a mahogany and maple bound body and headstock. The mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard devoid of inlays, and in tandem with the mahogany bound rosewood bridge, adds an aura of understated elegance. The maple, mahogany and maple strip splits the book-matched rosewood back as well. The rosewood-0capped headstock features a pearl-inlaid Washburn logo and stylized W, as well as Washburn branded die-cast tuners with ebonite buttons. The gorgeous rosette is made of alternating maple and mahogany.

The WCG25SCE is a fantastic-sounding acoustic guitar on its own, but the addition of premium Fishman electronics makes it an outstanding stage performance guitar. The Fishman Presys+ is an integrated tuner/preamp system for versatile amplified tonal shaping.

I spent an hour playing multiple acoustics, including many that were more than double the price of this beautiful Washburn. NONE of them resonated with me more than this Comfort Series acoustic-electric. The full sound was rivaled only by the most high end competitors. I love it!

I own a WASHBURN Comfort and I love it. I've had it for about 5 years with no issues. As for as the battery issues some have complained about, that's a user problem and not a guitar problem. I have no regrets and no buyer remorse. I think you'll be happy with this guitar.

It's a pretty solid guitar for less the $1k. I've been playing this model for a few years now and I'm pretty happy with it. The only thing I caution is the battery being left in the tuner/ audio control. I recommend if you're not using it , to either flip the battery around backwards or remove it completely. Otherwise, the battery will drain completely.

  • Absolutely beautiful guitar, sounds incredible

The build quality is incredible and it feels very comfortable to play. It's not the loudest guitar in the world if you like fingerpicking, but it has a very clean high and midrange and strong bass.

I was really really excited about this guitar. I had been wanting an acoustic with a beveled arm rest that I could gig with for a while. I had done my research. Watched a lot of videos. Read a lot of articles and reviews. Played the guitar a few times. Then when the price dropped (almost everywhere online) by 40%, I jumped at the chance. Long story short, after 12 months, the belly bulged and the bridge began to separate from the guitar: making the action so ridiculously high the guitar is pretty much unplayable. It is no longer in warranty so I removed the bridge, which was glued to the finish of the guitar, and I have been trying to correct the bulge for a week now. I don't fault Guitar Center. Although they did send me the wrong finish of this model. This is purely a Washburn problem. I can't be the only one to have this problem. Also when I was able to play it, I was constantly have to replace the battery. So the built-in timer and pickup were never really a relaible option. The high E string always had fret buzz on the 12th fret. Even after a proper setup. Overall such a disappointment. I cannot recommend this guitar. I do another guitar player who has his own music school and he loves his guitar and has no issues with it.

I own 3 guitars all from musicians friend. I'm a beginner at best but find myself picking up this guitar every day and practicing. It's made me excited about learning guitar again.

I can get this same Wasburn WCG25SCE for 0% 48 mth financing from Sweetwater. Doesn't Guitar Center use the same finance company? Will you match the financing arrangement?
