Washburn

Description

Washburn's Revival Series, which includes this R314KK Parlor Acoustic Guitar, draws inspiration from the great Washburn instruments crafted in the late-19th and early 20th centuries. The "vibe" of a 100-year-old instrument that has been well-played, but not abused, is created on the R314KK through a vintage finish and distressed hardware. Other appointments of the R314KK include an 1866 "Style 306" vintage "V" shaped neck, Washburn 1889, Style 306 inlay and trim, slotted peghead, and a cool, vintage-inspired ebony bridge. Because these guitars are built using modern techniques and materials, the resulting instruments are more durable, and in many cases, better sounding than their century-old counterparts.

Includes turn-of-the-century-inspired "coffin case".

Playing 40 years... This a tight, extremly well made, and beautiful both athetically and even more so sound wise. You can play old school or contemporary, no issues. Loader than expected.

  • Nice vintage repo but finish hassle

I wanted the natural finish that was shown on line and thought that was what I ordered , but was shipped a dark finish . I had to return it due to quality issues , I asked at that time if I could get the natural finish . The guy at the desk said there was no finish code number . I reached Washburn Guitars and found the finish number R314KK-D-U for the light finish. I do not want to return for a third time over finish color . It is a good reproduction of a vintage instrument , color issue aside I like it.
