Warm Audio WA-CVS Centavo Limited-Edition Silver Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal

This Warm Audio WA-CVS Centavo limited-edition silver overdrive pedal delivers the legendary tones that defined the iconic overdrives of the 1990s. Whether you play clean or pushed tube amps, the Centavo boosts your signal with responsive and articulate overdrive. With simple but impactful controls, you can shape your overdriven tone from subtle breakup to fully saturated lead tones.
Authentic Circuit Recreates a Legend
Warm Audio faithfully recreated the circuit that made a mythical overdrive pedal famous. Premium components like TL072 op amps and high-quality diodes are carefully selected to achieve the signature sounds of the original pedal. From slightly driven cleans to a hard-clipped lead tone, the Centavo delivers an experience guitarists have coveted for decades.
Shape Your Tone With Simple Controls
The Centavo features just three controls: Gain to increase the amount of overdrive, Treble to adjust high-frequency content and Output to set the overall signal level. Keep the controls modest for a touch of breakup or crank them up for heavily saturated distortion. A MOD switch on the back panel expands low-end response to produce a throaty tone on lower strings. With a few tweaks of the controls, you can achieve the exact amount of overdrive your music demands.
Limited-Edition Design
The Centavo overdrive is housed in a limited-edition custom silver enclosure, reminiscent of the earliest versions that helped define the pedal's legendary status. Premium components and a handbuilt circuit are contained within the rugged, road-ready box. As a limited release, each Centavo is hand-numbered, making it a collectible piece of gear history.
Made in the USA
Like all Warm Audio products, the Centavo overdrive is designed and built in Austin, Texas. Rigorous testing by experienced technicians and guitar players ensures consistent quality and tone. When you want the sound of an iconic overdrive in a premium, handbuilt package, the Warm Audio WA-CVS Centavo delivers an exclusive piece of sonic history.

Warm Audio Centavo – A Legendary Tone at a Real-World Price

The Warm Audio Centavo is hands down one of the most impressive Klon clones I've ever plugged into. Warm Audio set out to capture the magic of the original Centaur, and they absolutely nailed the tone, feel, and responsiveness that made the original mythical in the first place—without the mythical price tag. Right out of the box, the Centavo feels premium. The enclosure is solid, the controls are smooth, and the gold finish gives it that unmistakable "holy grail" vibe. But the real magic starts when you kick it on. The tone is rich, articulate, and incredibly musical. The Centavo adds just the right amount of warmth and harmonic complexity without ever sounding muddy or overbearing. As a clean boost, it's phenomenal—your amp suddenly feels more alive, more 3-dimensional. Push the gain and you get that classic transparent overdrive: clear, dynamic, and beautifully touch-sensitive. One of the pedal's standout features is how well it stacks with other drives. Whether you use it as an always-on sweetener, a boost for solos, or the foundation of your drive tone, the Centavo plays nicely with everything. It keeps the character of your guitar and amp intact while enhancing all the good stuff. Another win: the "MOD" switch. Warm Audio included the option to engage a modification found on certain highly sought-after originals, giving even more flexibility and tonal texture. In short, the Warm Audio Centavo delivers everything you want from a Klon-style pedal—clarity, punch, presence, and that unmistakable mid-forward magic—at a price that doesn't require selling a kidney. If you've ever wanted the Centaur sound without the collector's cost, the Centavo is the no-brainer choice. It earns a permanent spot on the board.

Bought mine directly from the manufacturer and paid more than what it's selling here…The pedal is big, they pay homage to the original Klon model but they also modified the tone structure and added a dip switch between the two inputs that actually bumps up the bass and treble and smooths out the mid hump. Overall the pedal works great and boosting any amp, if your amp has a little gain this pedal add sustain and if the amp doesn't this pedal will add a little extra gain… I've owned several Klon clones however this one took it to a different level and offers a little extra benefit from what an original Klon does…
