This is great as a boost or overdrive. It has some mid range in it so it's not completely transparent, but it adds the right frequencies to sound perfectly smooth. I absolutely love this pedal and have kept it as my "always on" pedal for tone shaping and a slight signal boost.

  • Excellent Klon Centaur klone.

Fantastic klone. I have played on an original Klon centaur and this pedal is a great reproduction.

So I'm pretty new to pedals and was using a sd-1 originally. Then I learned about the legendary klon pedal and it's "hype", it was only until I saw a rig rundown of one of my favorite guitar players Lee Malia from Bring Me The Horizon say he used a Klon clone so I decided to research different Klones. It came down to this and the tumnus. I ended up liking the look of this over the tumnus. I'm can't describe how much I loved the sound of it. It blew my sd-1 away and the sd-1 isn't a bad pedal either, but when I was comparing the two side by side. Holy crap! The centavo sounded so much more crisp and fuller. By the way I was running this threw a Orange TH30 tube amp on the clean channel. That being said The Centavo is definitely gonna be my overdrive on my pedal board for a long time to come

  • WA Centavo is a winner.

The Warm Audio Centavo is one of the best overdrive pedals that I have used in the last 40 years. Nice thick overdrive tone with a mod switch that makes the tone even thicker.

  • Checks all my boxes for a Klon sound

A few years ago I did an extensive search for the best sounding Klon-style pedal. I literally bought 15 different pedals and did a side-by-side comparison and the overall winner: J Rockett Archer. It simply sounded the best for the way I use it (add a little sustain to an already crunchy tone). A couple months ago I found myself wanting another for an additional pedal board I was building up. I scanned, found a few new Klon-type pedals, did another shootout, and the new winner: Centavo. To my ears, it's even a little sweeter and open sounding than the Archer, plus it has a handy switch to bring in some of the lower frequencies the original Klon cuts out. Definitely 5-star worthy. The only downside being the size... it's nearly three times the size of a standard MXR pedal!
