Great compact design. If you need a compressor and are tight on board space, this one is for you. Solid country tones from this mini. Limited on the attack feature, but more than good enough for home use. Tone can be dialed in elsewhere, so the switch is also good enough.

After trying the Keeley 2 knob and 4 knob, the MXR Dyna Comp and hand wired '74 Dynacomp, the Diamond Compressor and the Barber Tone Press, the Wampler Ego Compressor came out on top. I used the full sized version for years as it is incredibly versatile. With the blend control it can be used to even out levels between pickups in an HSS set up or bring a vintage Tele up to Les Paul output. With less blend you can get squashed Nashville comp sounds. As soon as I saw the mini version was released I sold my full size and got the mini. I was worried about the Tone and Attack controls being on switches, but the two settings they default to are the most useful settings on the pedal anyways. Highly recommended!
