Shipping was sent to the store instead of my house, this is my second bodhran in 3 weeks, i ordered this one for the better sound, quality and larger size. The other purchase was great also for the price. This isn't a tunable, so you have to experiment with water conditioning the skin to get the right tone.

I've always wanted a bodhran all my life. I'm almost 61, and I am finally going to get one. I want suggestions based on my age, arthritic hands and all. What size should I get? They aren't any bigger than 18'', isn't that right? Is the sound or richness of sound based on its size? I want one that will have a richer sound or a depth. I'm not a musically inclined person. And I don't know much about musical terminology. Perhaps is there a store or place in Tulsa where I could go and play around with them before buying one. Thanks.
With the arthritis it's tough to gauge, I would recommend swinging by a store and trying a couple out and see which feels better. You can see if any nearby stores have this in stock by using the link below the add to cart button.
