The Walrus Audio Ages Five-State Overdrive is a versatile pedal that handles humbuckers, single coils and any amp combination with ease, delivering everything from low-gain smooth compression to thick and chewy high gain. Use the rotary switch to select five different gain and clipping stages—think of each position as a different “flavor” of the pedal. Fine-tune each with the dry knob for a near-infinite supply of gain options. The dry knob pulls the dry signal out for rich, saturated tones or blends it back in for greater note clarity and punch. Decorated with a mythical three-trunked warrior elephant, the Walrus Audio Ages Five-State Overdrive is ready to charge victorious into any musical battle.

    I was first looking for the Ages/Warhorn combo pedal since it's only $50 more, but it wasn't in stock. I didn't really need the Warhorn, but I liked the options. I play for church, and this replaced a Friedman BE-OD that was simply too high gain for my needs. The Ages is perfect for what I'm using it for, and I love the 5 states. I keep mine on 2... Playing a PRS McCarty 594 through a Blackstar HT Club 40 Mkii

    Immediately liked this one. Lot of depth and character plus you can dial in the dry signal as desired which increases clarity. Five-position drive type selector offers some real choices, not vague nuances that you aren't sure are doing anything. Two of the five settings are noticeably "bigger" as in more girth. Still warm and rich though. This one's a keeper...

    It's a fun pedal to use. I have a lot of pedals (mostly distortion pedals) that don't have the versatility that this pedal has. This pedal doesn't go where where I want it to go for my personal preference, but with that being said, it's an extremely dynamic pedal for distortion in regards to or in the realm of pop rock to alternate, but lacking after.
