What's the range on this and is there any interference concerns because of so many microphones hooked up to one unit.

The VocoPro MIB-QUAD-8B SYSTEM is an 8-channel wireless microphone package operating in the 900–927.2 MHz frequency band. While the manufacturer does not specify the exact operational range, similar wireless microphone systems typically offer a range of up to 200 feet under optimal conditions. Regarding interference concerns, the system employs 24-bit digital technology with individual digital microphone IDs, which helps eliminate channel cross-talk and enhances signal reliability. Operating in the 900 MHz band also reduces the likelihood of interference from other wireless devices commonly found in the crowded 2.4 GHz spectrum. However, when using multiple wireless microphones simultaneously, it's essential to ensure that each operates on a distinct frequency to prevent interference. The MIB-QUAD-8B SYSTEM offers two different frequency sets, providing a total of 16 frequencies to accommodate multiple microphones without overlap.

I need about 3 or 4 of these for a school play. Is there an option to change the frequency or channel so theres no interference when they are all in use at the same time?

I have a portable PA system. It is the Passport Event series 2. Will this run off one channel through that system?
I hope this makes sense.

if I need more microphones - can I purchase 2 or 3 of the same sets and have them still work together? Or is there another way to have 20 or so microphones working with a system

You would need to make sure the wireless sets aren't on the same frequency, if you can do that they should all work at the same time.

I'm looking to purchase this to use in our school gym for school plays. Is there any other equipment needed to use this? Or is it all inclusive and just turn it on?

This is entirely plug and play meaning you won't need anything else too have it work out of the box. The cables in it are only 20' however so if you're mounting them up higher or on opposite sides of the gym you may have an issue getting them to reach.
