Consistent in sound and has a good weight. Feels very similar to a normal wooden drum stick but has a differenent vibe as if it where simply made of different wood that had metallic properties.

Much heavier than a wood 5b. In hopes Vic Firth comes out with a lighter 5a

The durability is unreal. The titans finally broke after six months, practicing for an hour a day, and many concerts. Also, at first I was hesitant to buy these because I was worried about the sound, but these sticks sound like wood sticks. The only thing that is different, is that it adds attack; it makes my whole kit sound amazing.

These sticks lasted me 2 years (believe it or not) and they are still working good! The feel's awesome, the durability is astounding, and it's Vic Firth. Even though this particular set of sticks are expensive, they'll save you money instead of buying 10 pairs of sticks and such. Not to mention, this is great for Heavy Metal, and it looks slick.

Obviously peole buy these sticks for durability. So far they are doing great. They feel just a bit heavy but that was easy to get used to. Also felt a bit slippery as others have mentioned but I haven't gone as far as taping them. If the last 6mos. or more I will be happy. Play every other week at church and practice daily 1 hour.
