Vic Firth

Description

Designed for practicing quads. Spacing is to scale with 1/4" rim-to-rim drums. Pads are laid out accurately and cut for all playing areas - both standard and scrape. 2 spock pads made with a thinner rubber than the main quad pads have a more authentic feel.

My son just completed his first year of marching band, marching snare. Now he is in indoor drum line and will be playing quads. He originally wanted a new snare pad for Xmas but changed his mind and wanted this instead. It was a great purchase! I'm sure he'll get lots of use from it and be able to improve his playing. Thanks!

How big is it edge to edge. Im guessing the actual size of a real tenor drum?

I'm turning 13 and I want to buy the large pad for my birthday. My question is, when I buy it does it come with the two stocks unattached so I can install only one?

No. They are shipped with them attached.

Does this come with stand hardware? I assume not. So, what is the fitting on the bottom and could a cymbal stand, with the arm post removed, be able to be configured to hold it? Or, do I have to buy a special stand for it?

    Open Reply - Charles
This does not come with stand hardware. It does have the ability to sit on a snare stand.

Can you remove one of the spok pad so that it's still a large tenor pad but with one spok?

No, the pads cannot be removed from this unit.
